The hybrid adapter join separated connectors. They have the features of ferrule end surface pre-domed and telcordia style boots. For every type of connector, there is equivalent type of adapter. The hybrid adapter can be used in the LAN (Local Area Network). In case of MTRJ and MPO, the alignment is carried out by 2 small pins fitted to one of the connectors, the adapter is purely support and lock the connectors together in the distribution box.
