Indoor Armored Zipcord Duplex Fiber Optic Cable is designed with two independently armored simplex cable units joined in a figure-8 zipcord construction. Each unit contains a tight-buffered fiber protected by spiral steel armour, aramid yarn and an individual outer jacket.
This construction provides enhanced mechanical protection while allowing the two cable units to be separated when required for routing, termination or connector assembly. It is suitable for indoor duplex fiber connections where flexibility, durability and independent fiber protection are required.

Cable Construction

The cable consists of two independently constructed armored simplex units joined in a figure-8 configuration. Each unit uses a 600 μm or 900 μm tight-buffered fiber, surrounded by spiral steel armour for mechanical protection. Aramid yarn provides additional tensile strength, while an individual PVC or LSZH outer jacket completes each cable unit.
